Monica Burrow
Original Art from BC and Beyond

Monica Burrow

Monica Burrow is primarily a landscape painter who works in acrylic on canvas or cradled wood panel. Born in Vancouver BC, she has spent time exploring throughout the local mountains, BC, the Yukon, the western US, looking at the subtleties of, and the variety in the natural landscape.

Her work shows an attraction to colour and composition. The outdoors is a source of endless inspiration. She works both in studio, and can often be found year round, out and about on location south of the Fraser River painting en plein air.

Monica is drawn to the play of light over the land, the formations of clouds and weather systems, and rich colour - either actual or imagined - often attract her to paint a subject.

Monica Burrow has been making art for over 30 years. Her post secondary education began with a BHe. at the University of British Columbia, and her best loved courses were those around creativity and design. In the year after her BHe. Monica received her Professional Teaching Certificate from the University of British Columbia.
